Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has hit out at Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount, saying they looked like ‘schoolboys’ during the Red Devils’ Premier League 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
A goal from Pape Matar Sarr and an own goal from Lisandro Martinez gave Tottenham the victory over Man United.
Meanwhile, Fernandes squandered Man United’s best chance in the first half as he guided his free header off target from six yards out as Mount was unable to help Erik ten Hag’s side.
“They just looked lightweight,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“When I look at Mount and Fernandes, out of possession, they look like schoolboys.
“They have not got the physicality to get the ball back. We make excuses all the time for them, we are told Ten Hag is a brilliant coach, but we need to see it.
“They looked flat here. I’d like to know what they are doing on the training pitch. Are they over-training? They don’t look full of energy.”
